Booker had done his best to make sure he was at least somewhat presentable this morning, and then he'd tidied up his office and opened the door. He was behind his desk, doing some grading on the online portal and making notes on his students' progress. And maybe occasionally taking sips from his flask when there was no one around to see him--and then following it up with a curse word and a breath mint because come on, Booker.

It was nice that the kids' families were coming to visit. It just sort of reminded him that he had ninety-nine years and seven months to go.
